went to the east village to meet a friend the other day. along the way i passed the former homes of two women who have been an inspiration to me. what both of them had in common was a love of aesthetics, a love of history and a need to try recreate it, along with an appreciation of the unconventional.
both women were also published authors and their words, phrases and descriptions are both timeless and soul-enriching, definitely worth a look into.
