" a bit of glam and yesteryear"

as a woman sometimes you become a target for harassment of a sexual nature, in many degrees, with advertising, the glorification of the ideal feminine form, sexism, ageism, unequal pay, in my exploration of this i uncovered a great setting for a woman's response to the playboy mansion, in a historic structure that was once occupied by sexually pioneering feminists mabel dodge luhan, louise bryant and edna st. vincent millay. these women, not your typical sexpots, were incredibly self assured of their desires and took control of their lives and their sexuality, free from the constraints of social norms, which at the turn of the century when they lived were especially strict and enforced. known as emboding the idea of the "new woman," their curiosity and observations about themselves and what was happening in the world, (all three were accomplished writers in their own right) influenced their own work as well as others and left an enduring legacy that still inspires today.
